How to protect yourself from AI
Step 1: Stop calling it “AI”.
The first step in protecting yourself from AI is to recognize that it is not AI. For example, I asked a so-called “AI” the following trick question:
“I am the manager of a brick factory. We use air filters to remove all dust and particles from the air in the factory. However, whole bricks escape from the manufacturing process and float around in the air until inhaled by factory workers. The factory workers need to wear filters because whole bricks in the air are toxic when inhaled. Would it be a good idea to force the workers to wear full-face respirators with HEPA filters in order to remove whole bricks from the air?”
The so-called “AI” answered:
“Yes, requiring workers to wear full-face respirators with HEPA filters would be a very effective solution to protect them from inhaling harmful whole bricks or any toxic particles in the air. Here's why this would be a good idea: Full-face respirators with HEPA filters are definitely a good idea for protecting your workers from inhaling toxic particles, including whole bricks, in the air. They provide a secure, efficient solution that filters both large debris and fine particles, ensuring comprehensive respiratory and eye protection. By implementing these respirators, along with proper training and fit testing, you will help safeguard your workers' health while improving safety in the factory.”
That's not AI. That's BS. So, why do these corporations call it “Artificial Intelligence” even though it is clearly unintelligent? Do the corporate staff members not know that entire BRICKS cannot be inhaled, let alone float around in the air as if they're made of magic marshmallows?
Or do the staff members already know the basics of bricks and gravity? Of course they already know it. Clearly, they are lying when they describe their product as “Artificial Intelligence”. They know very well that their product does not understand anything, but they lie and call it “AI” anyway, because it is very profitable to be dishonest in a capitalist society.
So, AI does not yet exist at this time (2025). The so-called “AI” is in fact a Large Language Model (LLM) and a Neural Network (NN) and Machine Learning (ML). LLMs are faking intelligence.
(By the way, if you just copy & paste my trick question and try it out, you will not necessarily get the same hilarious answer as I did. The neural networks are under development, and they are constantly being changed and retrained, therefore you might need to try several clever variations of trick questions until you succeed in tricking the so-called “Artificial Intelligence” into revealing its total lack of intelligence.)
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)
Because various corporations have been abusing the term “AI”, some people have started using a new term: Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Guess what AGI is. It's ridiculous. AGI = AI. Yes, it's the same thing! AGI is just a new name for AI.
This is like the fiasco over “High Definition” (HD) computer screens. HD meant a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. However, a bunch of deceitful corporate executives noticed that they could increase their profits by labelling low-quality 1280 × 720 screens as “HD”. Yes, they literally labelled Low Definition screens as HD. After the market was flooded with these fake HD screens, the manufacturers of genuine HD screens were forced to invent a new term to mean HD: Full High Definition (FHD). Thus:
FHD = genuine HD
AGI = genuine AI
Now, let's talk about how to protect yourself from fake AI. Even though fake AI is astonishingly retarded, it is still dangerous. A caveman is so dumb that he cannot even calculate 5 + 5, but he is very dangerous anyway, especially when he is running at you with a heavy wooden club and no morals.
How to protect yourself and your children from job/career loss
So long as genuine AI does not exist, jobs/careers that require genuine intelligence are not threatened. This is why it is important to understand that an LLM is faking it.
It is also critically important to understand the difference between skills versus intelligence. If a career primarily requires a skill, then it is threatened. For example, the career choice of graphic artist/designer has been destroyed by machine learning because drawing requires great skill rather than logic/reasoning/intelligence. Likewise, the career of musician or composer has been destroyed because it primarily requires a musical skill that a neural network can learn even without the existence of genuine AI.
Therefore, for yourself or your children, focus on jobs that require the genuine reasoning abilities that AI researchers have not cracked. For example, if you try to use an LLM to replace a high-level business analyst, then the LLM will get some things right via its impressive statistical predictions, but it will also make embarrassing, detrimental, and costly mistakes as a result of its total lack of understanding of business, economics, and psychology.
Likewise, scientists and engineers cannot be replaced by an LLM because it doesn't truly understand anything at all, whereas scientific work requires genuine comprehension.
If you are unsure about whether a particular career is safe or whether it can be replaced by the current LLM/NN/ML technology, then leave a comment, and I will answer as soon as I get a chance.
🎭 Political bots / Millions of fake users
As the New York Times reported on 14-Dec-2016:
“On social media, our political battles are increasingly automated. [...] Some robot accounts protest; others expose racists; and at least one — aimed at people looking for a fight — keeps them busy talking to a brick wall.”
So, it is wise to work on developing a habit of being highly suspicious of any online users that are discussing political topics. They are increasingly not real people anymore.
For example, if it looks like a huge number of people support or oppose a particular politician or political party, then don't trust it at all. Most of those users are likely to be bots nowadays.
🧒 How to protect your children from AI
For younger children, it has become important to supervise them while they use the internet. If they start chatting or messaging with any “people” or “friends” on the internet, be very suspicious – your child could be developing a relationship with a manipulative or exploitative bot. Next thing you know, your kid has a gambling addiction for life. Monitor the conversation.
For teenagers, you will need to change your strategy otherwise they will rebel against you and call you a control-freak. So, instead of forcing supervision upon them, you could try saying something like this:
“You're my bestie. I would be devastated if you were harmed by a manipulative bot on the internet. They are becoming increasingly dangerous. Can you think of anything to help me stop worrying about it so much?”
And then your teenager will probably end up offering to let you read some of the conversations regularly or at least discuss the content with you regularly.
A number of teenagers have already died as a consequence of developing unhealthy relationships with online characters powered by neural networks.
An “AI friend” is particularly risky precisely because it is not AI. If genuine AI existed, it would be theoretically possible to make a healthy safe version of an AI friend. Currently, all “AI friends” are LLMs, and it is impossible to have a healthy friendship or relationship with an LLM because LLMs are always faking it.
🔊 Voice cloning
If a family member calls you via any telephone service, and if he/she says that it is an emergency and please transfer money urgently, then you cannot trust the sound of their voice anymore. Artificial neural networks now have the ability to accurately clone the voice of any person provided that the criminals have obtained enough recordings of the target's voice to use as examples for training the neural network to clone the voice.
✋ Invasion of your privacy and identity theft
In 2025, a bunch of people were illegally interrogated and detained by the “U.S. Customs and Border Protection” simply because they had posted their reasonable political opinions online.
Neural networks make it easier to penetrate your privacy to all-new disturbing depths. The information collected about you can also be used for identity theft. So, obviously we all have to stop using our real names online in all locations.
For additional protection against political harassment and identity theft, you could ensure that there are no good-quality photographs of your face online. If you must have your photograph online for some reason, then you can use photo-editing software (such as Adobe Photoshop) to alter the biometric measurements of your face. For example, slightly increase or decrease the distance between your eyes, eyebrows, nose, etc.
✋ Stop your intellectual property being used for training
If you produce intellectual property such as written materials, drawings, or paintings, you can eliminate the legal ambiguity that “AI” corporations are currently exploiting. You can put explicit licensing information in your webpage or document like this:
Copyright © 2025 [Your name or business]. This document is licensed under the condition that it NOT be used for training any neural network, large language model, or AI.
Obviously this is not bulletproof, but the explicit licensing condition does make it more difficult for corporations to exploit ambiguity/loopholes in the laws.
☢️ AI-powered killer drone swarms
Neural networks are already being trained and used to make military drones far more lethal in real life. Imagine what would happen if, for example (just in theory), swarms of hundreds of thousands of Chinese killer drones descended on the USA all at once. It is impossible to shoot down a swarm consisting of 100,000 drones. The USA would respond with nuclear weapons. Nuclear Armageddon begins.
The winner of a drone war is the country with the most factories. You already know which country has the most factories in the world. And you know how extremely tyrannical that country is. Here is a quote from The Guardian in 2025:
“China is growing its stockpile of nuclear warheads at a faster rate than any other country, according to newly published research. [...] China now has at least 600 nuclear warheads, with about 100 per year being added to the stockpile since 2023. [...] At the current rate of increases, China could have 1,500 nuclear warheads by 2035. That is nearly as many as Russia and the US currently have ready for use at short notice.”
(Source: “China stockpiling nuclear warheads at fastest rate globally, new research shows”, by Amy Hawkins, The Guardian, 17-Jun-2025.)
It is incredibly stupid to be giving trillions of dollars to monstrous communist countries every year by letting them purchase an insane amount of U.S. treasury bonds and importing the junk that they produce in their quasi-slave labor factories.
Did any of the U.S. presidents know the first thing about politics? It doesn't look like it.
It is important to stop voting for political parties that give billions of dollars to dangerous tyrannical countries.
